    Social sciences, in essence, serve not only as a collection of disciplines that study society, but also as a way of critical thinking in understanding the relationships between individuals, structures, cultures, and changes over time. In the contemporary context, social reality is no longer simple and linear, but multidimensional, fraught with complexity, and influenced by the currents of globalization, digitalization, and value transformation. Therefore, a scientific approach is needed that is not only descriptive, but also reflective, critical, and transformative. 


    This book is here to bridge this need, particularly in the realm of history and social studies (IPS) education. History and social studies learning are no longer simply understood as a process of knowledge transfer, but rather as a strategic space for building historical awareness, social sensitivity, and critical thinking skills in students.
